RANDY ROBERTSRandy Roberts is a visionary filmmaker known for blazing new paths.
His career is a passionate mix of illustrating, fine art, music and vfx. He is a ten-time winner of the Clio Awards, and has garnered numerous international accolades.
He has become a recognized proponent of branded entertainment and one of the first contemporary directors to explore its potential.
Roberts also holds the distinction of having directed some of the first commercials to utilize computer graphics in advertising.
After earning a Fine Art degree from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena,
Roberts joined Robert Abel and Associates (RAA) - the early motion graphics proving ground that launched the careers of many of today's visual effects industry leaders.
Roberts' spec film "High Fidelity" for RAA along with the groundbreaking commercials "Sexy Robot" for the American Container Association, helped define the visual language for the renascent computer graphics industry.
Over the years Roberts has been on the leading edge of many new filmmaking technique either by finding unique and novel ways to employ them or by inventing methods to go beyond the expectations of his international client list,
which includes Target, Levi's, Visa, American Express, Bank of America, Accenture, Coke, 7UP, McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's, Nabisco, Kraft, Campbell's, Suntory, Sears, JC Penny's, most major automotive companies, as
well as countless fashion clients.
Roberts joined Curious Pictures in October 2011 because it brings him back to his roots as a filmmaker. It reunites him with a full-service production based studio as well as a world-class visual effects company and animation workshop.
Randy lives in Los Angeles with his wife and is the proud father of a son and daughter, both of whom serve with honor in the United States military.
